The 90s

In 1988, Stanislas Rollin, the previous Financial Director and International Director of the Accor Group, created his own company with associates to develop hotel projects.

In 1990, SCIH was created becoming the manager/operator of existing hotels.

At the rate of 2 new hotels per year on average, under the ACCOR franchise (Novotel, Mercure, Ibis and Ibis Budget brands), the scope of managed hotels gradually expanded in France, mainly in the west of France and in the Paris region.

The 2000s

The early 2000s saw the birth of THALAZUR.

With the takeover of the hotel-thalassotherapy complexes of Ouistreham, Antibes and Arcachon added to Royan (operated since 1991), thalassotherapy has become a strong growth vector for growth and the brand THALAZUR is created for this offer.

In 2005, with the opening of the Ibis Budget Rueil-Malmaison, SCIH exceeded the threshold of 5,000 hotel rooms in operation.

The 2010s

In 2014, the first hotel under the MARRIOTT franchise opened, the AC Hotel Paris Porte Maillot. Six other establishments will follow under different MARRIOTT brands (AC Hotel, Renaissance, Moxy).

THALAZUR takes a new direction. Bandol, the first 5* hotel in the network, opened in 2010. With the construction of Cabourg (2013) and the takeover of the complexes in Port Camargue, St-Jean-de-Luz and finally Carnac. THALAZUR becomes the leading French operator in the field of thalassotherapy with 9 coastal complexes.

In 2013, SCIH took its first steps as a hotel operator outside France with ACCOR franchises, in Belgium. Spain, Portugal and Italy will follow.

The 2020s

2020: we take over the operational management of 14 hotels in Switzerland and 1 in Belgium previously managed by ACCOR.

In 2022: we create our employer brand, HIVELY HOSPITALITY!

Today, we need to give our teams purpose, perspectives and concrete assurances. This means developing a state of mind and practices that help people progress on a human level.

An ambition is to be more efficient and resilient over time, to create new vocations and make our profession attractive.

2022: creation of our new lifestyle hotel brand, URBAN HIVE rolled out for the first time in Milan.
